IAA MOBILITY

With a history of over 120 years, IAA MOBILITY has played a crucial role in the development of the automotive industry since its establishment in 1897. Originally known as IAA (short for Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung), it was long held in Frankfurt and was widely referred to as the Frankfurt Motor Show. Since 2021, the IAA has changed its host city from Frankfurt to Munich, marking the beginning of its transformation from an automotive exhibition to a mobility platform, and it has been officially renamed IAA MOBILITY.

Since 2021, IAA MOBILITY has no longer been confined to the traditional auto show but has brought together participants from the entire mobility ecosystem, presenting a fresh and innovative format. The organizers aim to make it not only the world's leading mobility platform but also a hub for sustainability and innovative technology. In addition to the B2B-focused IAA Summit and IAA Conference held at Messe München (Munich Trade Fair Centre), the IAA Open Space extends into the heart of Munich, allowing the public to experience the most inspiring and innovative mobility technologies and solutions. IAA MOBILITY 2021 attracted 744 exhibitors and approximately 400,000 visitors from 95 countries worldwide.

The successful IAA MOBILITY 2023, which took place in Munich from September 5 to 10, once again proved its position as the world's leading mobility platform. 750 exhibitors from different countries and more than 500,000 visitors enthusiastically participated in the event. More than 3,700 media representatives from 82 countries covered the event - an increase of 70% compared to the inaugural IAA MOBILITY 2021. Three-quarters of the exhibitors said that they had been "successful" or "very successful" in reaching their target group, and 81% of the exhibitors rated their participation at IAA MOBILITY 2023 as "good" to "excellent".

IAA MOBILITY 2025 will take place again in Munich from 9 to 14 September under the new theme "'It’s All About Mobility", emphasizing its pivotal role as a global platform for mobility, sustainability, and technological innovation.

With the first group of industry leaders already confirmed to exhibit at IAA MOBILITY 2025, visitors can look forward to groundbreaking innovations, diverse activities, inspirational speeches, and cutting-edge topics from all facets of the mobility sector.
